Our History

Hayden Foundation was founded in 1997 to receive a gift of approximately 1.5 million dollars from the estate of Jack Caldwell to Hayden Catholic High School. The Hayden Foundation board recognized Mr. Caldwell’s gift in 1999 when it established the Jack Caldwell Legacy Society for donors who had made provisions to include Hayden in their estate planning. The Family Scholarship Program was established to allow donors to perpetually recognize their families with an endowed scholarship that benefits deserving Hayden students. The scholarship program continues to add new family scholarships each year.

Student Appreciation

The things I appreciate most about Hayden is how we are a family that will help each other in all aspects. With any issue you might have there is somebody at Hayden that is more than glad to help you out. That is what being apart of Hayden is all about. We care for one another unconditionally, cause that’s what families do.

The thing I appreciate most about Hayden is the aspect of family. Everyone sticks together in times of need and wants what is best for everyone, not just themselves. Hayden is more than a school, it's a home. It's a home to more than just the students. The whole Hayden community is a special place and will always have a special place in my heart.

My favorite thing about Hayden is the community atmosphere. I appreciate how close everyone is because we are a smaller school. Once you become a Wildcat, you carry on the tradition of excellence that Hayden instills in every one of their current and former students. The constant support received through several generations of Wildcats is overwhelming.I receive support from the faculty, who go above and beyond to ensure that I succeed now and that I will succeed in the future. My coaches and teachers have shaped my character to help me become the best version of myself. I owe many thanks to Hayden for all that it has done for me.

Hayden helped me in many ways. The teachers at Hayden pushed me in a way college professors push me now. Hayden set high standards which pushed me academically and helped me get to where I am today. The teachers and staff cared about me and encouraged me to do better in school and outside of school. They taught me to follow my faith and with the teachings I decided to continue my faith by going to a catholic college. Hayden became my second family and I am proud to call myself a wildcat.
